Here at Natural Stars we believe that children's beauty and talent pageants can be fun and help children to build confidence. With the emphasis on a natural look, children can have fun dressing up and showing off..... this is something that some children love doing - so why not let them do it?!

Natural Stars Children’s Talent and Beauty Pageants are inviting applications for our 2010 pageants. We are looking for children and young adults aged between 3 and 26 years, who have confidence and a great personality, talent and natural beauty too! Do YOU have what it takes to be a Natural Star? The contest is open to boys aged 3-17, and girls aged 3-26.

Our pageants aim to be fun and exciting – we are giving YOU the chance to show off what you can do! You can dress up and look your best too – but unlike the American pageants, we want to see your natural style and beauty, especially in younger contestants. Under 12’s are not permitted to use fake tans, fake eyelashes, or fake nails in our pageants. Under 6’s are not allowed any make-up at all. We encourage all contestants to have a natural look throughout the pageant.

Natural Stars Children’s Talent and Beauty Pageants judge contestants in several categories. We have a Casual Wear section, where contestants show their natural style in ordinary clothes like jeans and a T-shirt. We also have a Party or Formal Wear section – everyone knows that little girls (and bigger ones too!) love to dress up! And everyone loves to see a smartly dressed young man! In this section we want to see everyone looking their best and really dressing up as if they were going to the party of the year! In younger contestants of course, that might mean dressing up as your favourite Disney Princess – the emphasis is on having fun! Older contestants might wear a prom or bridesmaids dress, or a formal suit – whatever suits you best! But we have strict rules that no outfit must be to low cut or revealing – Natural Stars are fun, family pageants!

Our talent section is open to all contestants over 6 years old. In younger contestants we simply look for confidence and a fun personality. Over 6s can show us their talent – this is a major part of the contest, and is your chance to show the judges what you can do! Dancing, singing, gymnastics, juggling.... the list is endless!

We want to have a great pageant, in many ways similar to the American ones we all know about. But we feel that here in Britain we need to add that British touch, and ensure that the emphasis is on fun. We feel passionately that little girls should look like little girls, and not mini-adults. And we want all our contestants to have a great time. No one under 12 goes away empty handed – everyone’s a winner! We want to celebrate all children’s natural beauty, and their confidence in taking part deserves recognition.
